IS THERE AN ENTRY FEE?

No – entry to the Gearing Up Expo is free

I AM A PARENT OF A CHILD WITH DISABILITY.  SHOULD I COME ALONG TO THE GEARING UP EXPO?

Yes please.  There will lots of useful information to assist you and your child plan for their future. Regardless of your child’s age – it is never too early to start planning.  The Expo will give you the opportunity to talk to people about the various options and support available.

I WOULD LIKE TO BRING MY KIDS ALONG – IS IT FAMILY FRIENDLY?

Yes it is family friendly. There will also be some hands-on activities to get involved in to you’re your children busy. 

IS THE EXPO WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?

Yes – all venues are wheelchair accessible for easy entry.  The set up also allows plenty of room between booths.  There are also wheelchair toilets available at the venues.

I AM PLANNING TO COME OVER THE LUNCH TIME. WILL THERE BE FOOD AVAILABLE?

Yes there will have food available for purchase either at the venue or close by

I DON’T HAVE A CAR – HOW EASY IS IT TO GET TO?

Public transport is available to and from the venues. 

WHAT KIND OF ACTIVITIES WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE DAY?

There will be fun hands-on recreational activities suitable for all ability levels such as table cricket and other sports ability games. Booths will have fun things to do. And there will be quiet corners to chat with Exhibitors.

HOW WILL I KNOW WHAT ORGANISATIONS WILL BE THERE ON THE DAY?

This website has an up to date list of all the current exhibitors.  This can be found on the Exhibitor page. When you attend an expo you will  receive a Service Directory of all the organisations there on the day.  It will also have their contact details so this will be a handy booklet for you to keep and refer back to.
